Our privacy policy, in plain English.

We collect the least we can get away with, we tell you what we do with it, and we don't sell it. This page explains that properly, because the Privacy Act 2020 asks us to.

Who we are

Service Saver Ltd is a New Zealand company based in Wellington. When this page says "we", "us" or "Service Saver", that's who it means.

We are the agency responsible for the personal information described here. If you want to talk to someone about it, email sales@servicesaver.co.nz.

02

What we collect

Only what we need to answer you and do the work:

  • Contact details you give us: name, business name, email, phone number.
  • What you tell us about your business in an enquiry, call or brief.
  • Account and billing information if you become a client.
  • Access we're given to your own marketing accounts (for example a Meta or Google Ads account) so we can run the work.
  • Basic website analytics: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser. Aggregated, not tied to your name.

We don't ask for information we have no use for, and we don't buy contact lists.

03

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, deliver the services you've engaged us for, invoice you, and keep the records New Zealand tax law requires us to keep.

If you've asked to hear from us, we'll also send occasional email about what we do. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and using it takes effect immediately.

04

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only where the work requires it:

  • Service providers who run our tools, such as email, hosting, file storage, invoicing and analytics. Some are based overseas, which means your information may be stored outside New Zealand.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms, where you've engaged us to run campaigns in your accounts.
  • Professional advisers or authorities, where the law requires it.

We choose providers who offer comparable privacy protections to the Privacy Act 2020, but we can't control their systems, and we say so plainly rather than implying otherwise.

05

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies to keep it working and to measure traffic in aggregate. You can block or clear them in your browser at any time; the site will still work.

If we run advertising, we may use platform pixels on our own site. That lets us measure our own campaigns. It doesn't tell us who you are.

06

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become work: up to two years, then deleted.

Client records: seven years after the engagement ends, because that's what New Zealand tax and company law requires.

Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

07

Keeping it safe

Information is held in reputable cloud services with access limited to the people who need it. Accounts use multi-factor authentication.

No system is completely secure. If something goes wrong and a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, as the Act requires.

08

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong.

Email sales@servicesaver.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days. There's no charge for a reasonable request.

If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

09

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes get an email to current clients rather than a quiet edit.
